Welcome!
I can hardly believe that in several short weeks I will be headed south for the next few months. For those of you who don't know, I will be leaving on January 12th for my semester cross-cultural to Guatemala and the U.S./Mexico border. Our group will be flying to Arizona for 2 weeks at the U.S./Mexico border, primarily at Frontera de Cristo, a Presbyterian border ministry. From there we will travel to Guatemala city, where we will live with host families and attend CASAS. In late March we will have a week of free travel before going to Chiapas, Mexico. We will spend a few weeks in a coffee-growing community called Salvador Urbina, before ending our trip by spending Semana Santa (Holy Week) in Guatemala city and Antigua.
Until then, I will be packing, reading, and studying up on some Spanish vocabulary. I invite you to follow along with me and my travels, as I will hopefully have the opportunity to update this blog. I also ask for your prayers as I embark on this new adventure with excitement, but also nervousness.
Gracias por tu apoyo (thanks for your support)
